Caiam Her

Kajam

In the early days of Arabic astronomy (approximately the 9th Century AD), a space in the heavens, coinciding with parts of Hercules, Ophiuchus and Serpens, was the Raudah, or Pasture, the northern boundary of which, the Nasak Shamiyy, was marked by the stars bet Her and gam Her, the Syrians' Row of Pearls, with bet Ser and Gam Ser in continuation of the Pasture line; while del Ser, alf Ser and eps Ser with del Oph, eps Oph, zet Oph and eta Oph formed the southern boundary., the Nasak Yamaniyyah. The group of stars on the eastern border of the Pasture are now known as the Club of Hercules was the Sheep within the Pasture; "Caiam" is a Latin name for the goddess Venus; "Kajam" is the club of Hercules.  In short, Hercules and Ophiuchus did not exist and that part of the sky was the Pasture with Bootes representing "the good shepherd".
